This competition serves as a means of bringing countries closer together, in the same way that sporting events do, when united by the same stakes. It represents an opportunity to share universal values and define together a common ideal of elegance and beauty. The conditions will be such as to promote friendship. Cocktail parties, official receptions and the gala dinner will bring together the officials of the host country, the representatives of the different delegations, stars and the media.

The Miss Intercontinental GB Crown
Whoever said "DIAMONDS" are a girls best friend has never seen the Miss Intercontinental® Crown! Girls normally dream of being a princess, dressed in a beautiful gown and wearing a sparkling tiara amongst her other jewellery. But one lucky young lady's dreams will come true in October 2009 at our world wide pageant when she is crowned Miss Intercontinental World. The crown has been custom made for the World Beauty Organisation (WBO) and bears over 700 perfect diamonds weighing 16 carats plus a large diamond of 5 and a half carats filled with water from the famous yellow river in china, in all this crown is unique with total weight of 21 carats. The miss intercontinental crown is valued at $360,000 US dollars and was commissioned by the world beauty organisation in 2005 as a tribute to its 36th year history.
